The Galesburg Silver Streaks boys basketball started their second day of the Taylorville Holiday Tournament with a 64-37 lost to Marion. The Streaks struggled in the first half going into the break with 13 points. They had a cleaner second half; however, it was not enough to trim the deficit against a 10-win Marion team.
The Streaks have lost 10 of their last 11 and fall to 4-10 overall.
The Streaks went 13 of 35 from the field, 2 of 11 from three, and 7 of 9 from the line. They outrebounded Marion 29-26, recorded 8 assists, but had 25 turnovers. No Streak scored double digits with Jackson Crock Sibbing leading the team at 9 points.
James Crock-Keefer came in as an emergency role and executed it well. He had a pair of threes and did not record a single turnover. For his efforts, he was named the Dave's Auto Body Crunch Time Player of the Game.
