The Galesburg High School girls basketball team continues to be perfect in the Western Big 6 Conference with a win on the road at Alleman Thursday (1/09) night, 53 - 34. The Streaks are now 6 - 0 in the conference and sit atop the standings. It was another strong defensive effort by Galesburg with a back-and-forth game in the 1st quarter, but then the Streaks opened it up in the 2nd quarter with an 18-3 run over the Pioneers and went on to clinch the victory.
In that second quarter run for the Streaks, Josslyn Peck was a key player making things happen, including 6 rebounds, three of which were 2nd chance offensive rebounds. For that effort which helped change the game to the positive for Galesburg, Josslyn was named the Dave's Auto Body Crunch Time Player of the Game.
