The Galesburg Silver Streaks girls basketball team took on the Peoria Notre Dame Irish in an early marquee matchup for the season. The Streaks used their speed as a blueprint from the very start to wear down the Irish for a 51-37 victory. The win puts Galesburg at 10-1 on the season.

Sophomore Zaniyah Carter led the Streaks with 12 points. Ella Herchenroder added 10, Jozalyn Kilgore had 7, and Khloe May shot two three-pointers to finish with 6. The Streaks finished the night shooting 17 of 39 from the field, 6 of 15 from deep, and 11 of 14 from the charity stripe. Galesburg also had 24 boards and 11 assists on 8 turnovers.

After scoring two early three-pointers to set the tone, Khloe May, was named the Dave's Auto Body Crunch Time Player of the Game. Along with her 6 points, she added an assist and 3 steals to her statline.
