The Knox County Board recently approved of a proposal to house some of an overflow of inmates from the Cook County Jail at the Knox County Jail.  It's designed to lessen overcrowding in Cook County, while bringing in extra revenue to Knox County at a time when the jail has less inmates, thanks in part to pre-trial release under the state's new Pre-Trial Fairness Act.

Knox County Sheriff Jack Harlan and Knox County Board Chairman Jared Hawkinson talk about the proposal with Will Stevenson on Galesburg's Morning News.
