The Abingdon Historical Society’s new home will officially open Saturday

After years of planning, building, organizing, arranging, and accepting donations, the Abingdon Historical Society is ready to open its brand new home to the public.

The society's new location at 113 S. Main St. in Abingdon will open to the public Saturday at 4 p.m., with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4:30 p.m.
