DESCRIPTION:Audition for The Best Christmas Pageant Ever \n  \nFind out what happens when the worst kids “in the entire history of the world” take over the church Christmas pageant in the Prairie Players Civic Theatre production of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. \n  \nAuditions for adults and high school students will be on Friday and Saturday\, September 9 & 10\, from 7-9 p.m.\, with auditions for students in third grade through junior high on September 10 from 2-4:30 p.m. (Parents\, please accompany your child to provide information for the audition). Auditions will be at Prairie Players Civic Theatre\, 160 South Seminary Street\, Galesburg. \n  \nThose interested who cannot make the scheduled auditions should contact Director Katy Redington at klrobinson0224@gmail.com to schedule an audition time prior to September 9. \nThe audition will consist of cold readings from the script and singing a preselected Christmas carol for those who would like to be considered for any solo singing opportunities. DESCRIPTION:The Henry County Historical Society will be hosting an “Old Gun Appraisal and Disposal / Donation Event” at their Henry County Museum located at 202 S. Park St. in Bishop Hill\, IL on September 10\, 2016. The hours will be 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. \n$10 per gun suggested donation. \nNote: This is not a gun show. No guns will change hands the day of the event. Spectators are welcome. \nImportant: No live ammunition will be permitted on the premises. \nImportant information regarding the legal transportation of firearms in Illinois: \nAnyone in possession of a firearm in Illinois must have a FOID card. \nFirearms must be unloaded and in an appropriate case or\, wrapped up and tied in a sheet\, drop cloth or blanket and placed out of the reach of the driver\, preferably in the trunk or cargo area of the vehicle. \n  \nThe purpose of the event is to raise funds for the museum\, provide people\, who may have old guns in their house with a way to learn what they are\, what they are worth\, and\, if they do not want them\, to offer a safe legal\, tax deductible\, means of disposal by donating them for the benefit of the museum. \nThe Museum will have two consultants\, with a vast knowledge of old firearms and their values\, on hand. They will examine each gun\, identify the make and model\, provide a little history about it\, and determine a value range. Then\, there is no obligation\, if the owner wishes\, arrangements can be made to donate the item to the museum. The Henry County Historical Society will then determine whether\, or not\, it suits the museum’s display purposes and either put it on display\, or transport it to the Rock Island Auction Company for sale with the proceeds going to benefit the museum. The Rock Island Auction Company is the nation’s leading auction house for firearms\, edged weapons\, and military artifacts. \n  \n  \n
