46th National Stearman Fly-In

9:00 am: Daily pilot briefing, Stearman Fly-In seminar tent, Galesburg Municipal Airport

9:00 am: Ageless Aviation Dreams flights honoring American veterans begin.

9:30 am: Seminar, “Stearman Fly-Ins for the Next Generation – Inputs From the Field.” Presented by Mike Rutledge, member of the National Stearman Fly-In Board of Directors. Stearman Fly-In seminar tent.

Mid-morning: Fly-out to Gen-Air Park, Geneseo, IL, for lunch: Menu: Butterfly pork chop sandwich, corn on the cob, coleslaw, cookies. Price $10.

10:00 am – 6:00 pm: Narrated tram rides along Stearman flight line for general public (weather permitting). $1 per person.

1:30 pm: Stearman aerobatic contest briefing, Gen-Air Park pilot lounge, Geneseo.

2:00 pm: Stearman aerobatic contest, Gen-Air Park, Geneseo.

3:30 pm: Seminar, “Stearman Differences Found During Restoration,” presented by Bob Swint, Geneseo, IL. Stearman Fly-In seminar tent.

5:30 pm: Beverage wagon opens, Jet Air Hangar, Galesburg Municipal Airport.

6:30 – 7:30 pm: Pizza party, Jet Air hangar, Galesburg Municipal Airport. Catered by The Pizza House, Galesburg. Sponsored by the Stearman Restorers Association. Free for Fly-In participants.

7:30 pm: Gone West! Remembering those in the Stearman community who passed on during the last year. Jet Air hangar.

7:35 pm: Program, “Saving History: U.S. Naval Air Station Ottumwa, Iowa,” presented by Steve Black, president of Friends of NAS Ottumwa. Jet Air Hangar.
