Bring your dinner or order carry-out and join us! \nDerel Monteith\nThursday\, October 6th\n6:00 p.m. Q&A\n7:00 p.m. Performance with the Cherry St. combo at the Galesburg Community Arts Center\nDerel Monteith is a pianist/composer and patent attorney for Caterpillar based in Central Illinois\, he will talk about finding the right work/life balance as a creative artist. \nJoel Linscheid\nThursday\, October 20th\n6:00 p.m. Q&A\n7:00 p.m. Performance with the Cherry St. combo at the Galesburg Community Arts Center\nJoel Linscheid is a saxophonist and Director of Jazz Studies and Visiting Assistant Professor of Music at Augustana College. He has his DMA from New England Conservatory of Music\, and offer practical advice for jazz composition\, and ideas for using composition as a tool for developing as an improviser. \nThese are free events and all ages are welcome.
