Bishop Hill Old Settlers’ Days

The 171st anniversary of the founding Bishop Hill will be celebrated on Saturday, September 9. The day’s activities include the traditional chicken dinner, band concert, and program.
From 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. the traditional Old Settlers’ Day Chicken Dinner will be served at the Colony School. The $10/person cost includes beverage and dessert. Children under 8 years are $5.
At 12:30 in the Park, the Bishop Hill High Society Band will present a concert. The annual program will follow at 1:30 p.m. The speaker will be Ulla Voss, Sweden. Paul Collinson will perform musical selections. The rain location for the High Society Band Concert and Program is the Bishop Hill Community United Methodist Church.
Weekend activities continue on Sunday, September 10 with the Colony School Reunion, 2-4 p.m. at the Colony School.
