Croatian Music Cultural Tour

Canton, IL Croatian Lodge 367 is proud to host Croatian Tamburashi Musicians, TS Sarmeri, for a one-night-only tambura concert on Sunday, August 27, 2017. Tambura is the name for the family of stringed instruments native to Croatia. These talented musicians will stop in Canton, IL, as part of a six-week North American cultural concert tour taking them from Pennsylvania into Canada, through the mid-west and ending in Pittsburgh, PA, before returning home to Zagreb, Croatia.
TS Sarmeri will play a mix of traditional Croatian folk songs, popular tambura compilations, and familiar American tunes.
The concert will be held at the Canton VFW Post 1984, 1200 S. 5th Avenue, Canton, IL. For the enjoyment of all who attend, dinner will be available for purchase. Doors will open at 3pm, food service will run between 3:30 and 6pm, and the concert will go from 5pm to 8pm. Admission for the concert is $5. Dinners may be purchased for $10, or a combination concert and dinner for $15.
