DESCRIPTION:GriefShare is a 13-week seminar and support group for those who are grieving the loss of a loved one due to death. The group meets in the chapel at First United Methodist Church\, 120 N. Kellogg St. Galesburg at two different times beginning Wednesday\, January 15\, 2025. The morning session is from 9:00 – 11:00. The evening session is from 5:30 – 7:30. Cost will be $20 for a Participant Guide. Pre-registration is preferred but not required. Scholarships are available for workbooks. If School District 205 is closed due to bad weather\, the Church will be closed and GriefShare will not be held. \nFor additional information\, or to register\, please contact the Church office at 309-342-3197.

DESCRIPTION:Open to the public! Join the Farmington Moose Lodge as they help a local family in need of support by holding a Fish Fry with plenty of sides and baked goods. Anyone wanting to donate baked goods\, please drop off at the Moose on Saturday\, March 22th at 10 am. \nLynea Ulm is a 14-year old that has been in the hospital since Feb 3rd battling a number of life-threatening respiratory illnesses including H1N1 Influenza\, covid\, and necrotizing pneumonia. Lynea has undergone surgeries and transfusions as she fights for her life at the Children’s Hospital in Peoria and now at Luries Children Hospital in Chicago. There is still a long road ahead. \nProceeds from the Fish Fry will be donated to the Ulm Family to help with the mounting expenses for travel and more. Contact Lisa Welker with any questions.
