Ian Moschenross Piano Recital

The Knox College Music Department proudly presents pianist Ian Moschenross whose upcoming program will include “Bagatelles,” op. 126, by Ludwig van Beethoven; “Vier Klavierstücke,” Op. 119, by Johannes Brahms; and Sonata in B-flat Major, D. 960, by Franz Schubert.
A versatile performer and educator, Ian Moschenross is an active soloist and collaborator; he also regularly conducts masterclasses and adjudicates festivals and competitions. In the studio and classroom, Dr. Moschenross teaches applied and group piano, as well as music theory and history courses. He has held teaching positions at Monmouth College (IL), Grinnell College, (IA), and Central College (IA). Moschenross is currently teaching music theory, music history, and piano courses at Lafayette College in Easton, PA. Apart from performing and teaching, his research interests include the life and works of Robert Schumann, non-equal temperament tuning systems, and the literary intertextuality of Bob Dylan lyrics.
Ian Moschenross earned a B.A. in Music from Hanover College (IN) and the M.M. and D.M.A. in piano performance from The University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
