Music and lyrics for Into the Woods are by Stephen Sondheim and the book is by James Lapine. \nAuditions are May 4 from 2-4 pm and May 5 from 6-8 pm. The director of Into the Woods is John Siebken and music director is Bob Fornander. \nProduction dates are July 11-13 at the Galesburg Orpheum Theatre.

As part of the Rootabaga Jazz School tour\, the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra and New York City based vocalist will perform a joint concert with the United High School bands.\nUnited High School\n7:00pm\nFree and open to the public \nFor over four decades\, the Knox Rootabaga Jazz Festival\, or “‘Baga” as it’s known to fans\, has been a true celebration and affirmation of the unique spirit of the Galesburg community— a “small” community that has achieved the rare accomplishment of sustaining and growing an annual jazz festival of national renown. The festival reflects a unique collaboration between schools\, businesses\, and the Galesburg community. The greatest jazz artists from around the world have graced the stages of Rootabaga.
