SUMMARY:Women’s All City Golf Tournament
DESCRIPTION:The 51st Women’s All City Golf Championship is open to all Knox and Warren County women who will be entering high school or older. There will be three divisions available. The Championship\, a Senior division for women 55 or older and a Super Senior division for women 70 or older. They’re is also the Kathy Dunn Memorial Net tournament for women with a USGA handicap. The tournament will take place on July 18 at Soangetaha CC\, July 19 at Bunker Links and July 21 at Lake Bracken. Entry forms are due July 13 by 6 pm and can be found at the three golf courses or on our Facebook page womensallcity.

DESCRIPTION:Come enjoy the color and beauty of the The Great Balloon Race at Lake Storey Park (just west of the baseball fields) in Galesburg. \nThe featured balloon this year is “OGGY\, The Friendly Dragon”. Oggy is a 1996 Aerostar Special Shape balloon piloted by Jack Semler of Indianapolis\, Indiana. Oggy stands 143 feet tall and has a volume of 175\,000 cubic feet. He is more than two times the size of a normal balloon! \n(Update as of 7/25)  Due to a family emergency for the pilot\, “Oggy The Friendly Dragon” will only be at Saturday night’s events. \n \nFree admission and free parking! Times are approximate and all events are weather permitting. \n\nFriday\, July 28th\n3:00pm until the beginning of the Night Glow:  Food vendors will be set up and selling food by the shelter of the launch field. Event T-shirts and raffle tickets available for purchase.\n5:00 – 8:00pm:  Children’s crafts will be available from the Galesburg Civic Arts Center and face painting by Knoxville High School Cheerleading with materials provided by the Regional Office of Education.\n6:00pm (approximately):  Mass ascension of the balloons\, weather permitting.\n8:30pm:  Balloon Night Glow\, weather permitting.\n—–\n\nSaturday\, July 29th\n5:30am:  Pilot briefing on the field at Lake Storey Park\n6:00am:  Balloon Launch – the balloons will launch from an undetermined location and fly into the launch field at Lake Storey Park to try and throw a beanbag at the target(s) located there.\n12:00pm – 3:00pm:  Motorcycle show with 4 categories to vote on. DESCRIPTION:Come enjoy the color and beauty of the The Great Balloon Race at Lake Storey Park (just west of the baseball fields) in Galesburg. \nThe featured balloon this year is “OGGY\, The Friendly Dragon”. Jack Semler from Indianapolis\, IN\, pilots this year’s special shape balloon. Oggy is a 1996 Aerostar Special Shape balloon. He stands 143 feet tall and has a volume of 175\,000 cubic feet. He is more than two times the size of a normal balloon! Make sure to come out onto the field during the evening glows to check him out up close and in person! \n \nFree admission and free parking! Times are approximate and all events are weather permitting. \n\n\n\n\nSunday\, July 30th – Note: Flight ONLY if weather prevented previously scheduled flights\n5:30am:  Pilot briefing on the field at Lake Storey\n6:00am:  Balloon Launch – The balloons will launch from an undetermined location and fly into the launch field at Lake Storey to try and throw a beanbag at the target(s) located there.\n\nALL EVENTS ARE FREE\, TIMES ARE APPROXIMATE & WEATHER PERMITTING AND ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE!!!\n\n\n\nPrevious days’ schedules:\nFriday\, July 28th\n3:00pm until the beginning of the Night Glow:  Food vendors will be set up and selling food by the shelter of the launch field. Event T-shirts and raffle tickets available for purchase.\n5:00 – 8:00pm:  Children’s crafts will be available from the Galesburg Civic Arts Center and face painting by Knoxville High School Cheerleading with materials provided by the Regional Office of Education.\n6:00pm (approximately):  Mass ascension of the balloons\, weather permitting.\n8:30pm:  Balloon Night Glow\, weather permitting.\n—–\n\nSaturday\, July 29th\n5:30am:  Pilot briefing on the field at Lake Storey Park\n6:00am:  Balloon Launch – the balloons will launch from an undetermined location and fly into the launch field at Lake Storey Park to try and throw a beanbag at the target(s) located there.\n12:00pm – 3:00pm:  Motorcycle show with 4 categories to vote on.
