Saturated Buffer Demonstration

Are you looking to reduce nitrogen runoff on your agricultural fields? Join the Knox County Soil and Water Conservation District and the Knox County Farm Bureau on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at the Burke Farm in Oneida at 11:00 a.m. to see a newly installed saturated buffer.
A saturated buffer is a conservation drainage practice, approved by the Illinois Council on Best Management Practices, which removes nitrates from subsurface drainage water without affecting farm field drainage.
