World Day of Prayer at Cameron Christian Church, 547 Church Street, Cameron, IL, sponsored by Church Women United of Monmouth and Vicinity. Handicap Accessible. Babysitting available. This event is free and open to all area women.
The program, “Receive Children, Receive Me” will be presented by Gladys Olson. This year’s WDP material was written by a committee of women from Cuba. They call us to explore the depths of God’s love and accept the invitation to receive the realm of God as a little child. (Mark 10:13-16) They share their stories of intergenerational wisdom, traditions, and experiences of God’s love and acceptance. We will explore the story of Jesus’ response to his disciples when the little children came to him, and we will consider Jesus’ blessings and passionate invitation, as he said, “Receive children, receive me.” For more information, call 309-563-9886.
