More senior athletes at Galesburg High School are making their college choices known this week. Girls swimming standout Rebecca Duncan will be attending Butler University in Indianapolis in the fall. Duncan, who signed her letter of intent on Wednesday at GHS, will be receiving a scholarship even though she did not participate on the swim team this season. Coming up on Monday, basketball player Kivontay Shaw will be signing to attend Rockford University. His basketball teammate Ethan Meeker will then make it official on Wednesday that he will be going to Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Yet another basketball standout–guard Jarrett Olson–will reportedly be going to Parkland College in Champaign to be a dual-sport athlete in basketball and baseball. Olson is currently an outfielder on the GHS baseball team, which is scheduled to host United Township this afternoon at 4:30.
