Galesburg Silver Streaks Boys Basketball vs Chicago Harper Cardinals

The Galesburg Silver Streaks boys basketball team improved their record to 2-0 on the young season with a 62-43 win over The Harper Cardinals out of the Chicago Public League in the Thanksgiving Tournament today.   The Silver Streaks never trailed in the game.  Galesburg scored the first 5 points of the game before eventually building a 14 point lead in the first quarter as Cornell Dotson came off of the Streaks’ bench and hit three straight three-pointers to bring his total to 11 points by half but Chicago Harper came back to within 6 points in the half.  Jacob Ross and Cornell Dotson each finished with 14 points.  The Cardinals came within just two pints in the third quarter before the Streaks outscored them 17-4 in the third quarter to eventually win by 19.   Brad Bennewitz and Jim Lee named T.J. Pendleton The Dave’s Autobody Crunchtime Player Of The Game as he finished with a double double consisting of 13 pints and 10 rebounds.
