The first half ended with the Silver Streaks down by just a touch down at Rock Island’s Homecoming, but a big third quarter by the Rocks helped them pull away to a three touch down victory – 43 to 22 over the Silver Streaks dropping Galesburg to 0-4 on the season.
Connor Aten was our Dave’s Auto Body Crunch Time Player of the Game. On a fourth down, he had a 40 yard touchdown pass to Deant’E Pulley, then scored the second Silver Streaks touch down of the half on a an impressive 8 yard run were he cut for the corner, and ran the two point conversion in as well. The GHS defense just got worn down. Davin Wilson for the Rocks led the way with 277 yards rushing and 4 touchdowns .
Galesburg sophomores also fell on Friday night, 42 to 14.
