As Phase 3 of the Restore Illinois Plan sets to get implemented on Friday (May 29th), the Knox County YMCA is able to provide outdoor group, fitness classes. Following IDPH safety guidelines, the outdoor group fitness schedule will begin on June 1st at both Galesburg YMCA locations. Guidelines being followed include: social distancing, available hand sanitizer, and a class size limit of nine individuals. To register for the outdoor classes, CLICK HERE.
The Y will also continue to offer Essential Worker Childcare throughout the month of June. The Summer Adventures Camp at the YMCA will begin one month from Friday on June 29th. The camp is a safe and fun camping experience held Monday through Friday from 6:30am-6:00pm from June 29th to August 28th by YMCA staff. Registration is open to those who have completed Kindergarten through those who have completed 5th grade.
