Students in Knox and Warren Counties will have a chance to apply for a scholarship through the Galesburg Community Foundation starting next week.
Students who meet the criteria can submit an online application to the foundation’s website beginning on February 1 with a deadline of March 1 at 4:00 pm.
A variety of scholarships are available through the website with different criteria based on the school, county of residency, or college program.
These one-time scholarship awards made will be applied to tuition, fees, room and board, or books and will be sent to the schools that students apply for. Recipients can reapply each year eligible.
“We offer a variety of scholarships and encourage all students to visit our website to learn more,” according to Tiffany Springer, director of grants and programs for the Community Foundation. “Our application process can be completed entirely online and is very concise. We are thankful for the generous donors who make these scholarships available and want our students to succeed.”
