A new monthly event series launches tonight in downtown Galesburg.
Food Truck Fridays, organized by Liv Bundy, owner of the Lemon Lounge, kicks off tonight, May 8 at Parking Lot H, 235 E. Simmons St., between Kellogg and Prairie streets, from 5 to 8 p.m. Admission is free. The Galesburg City Council approved the event series on May 4.
Bundy joined Galesburg’s Morning News Friday morning to talk about the event. Listen to the full interview below.
Tonight’s theme is Family Night, featuring a carnival atmosphere with $1 kids games including toilet toss and a duck pond. Participants win a prize every time.
Vendors for tonight’s event:
- The Lemon Lounge — fresh-squeezed lemon shakeups in a variety of flavors, sugar-free options, and Alani energy drinks
- Carnival Delights — funnel cakes, cotton candy, smashburgers, and ice cream
- Sass Kitchen — oatmeal cream pies and chocolate cake slices
