Individual champions Gauge Shipp and Rocky Almendarez led a contingent of seven Galesburg Silver Streaks wrestlers to qualify for the sectional after earning top 3 finishes at the Rock Island Class 2A Regional on Saturday.
Shipp cruised to victory at 132 pounds while Almendarez claimed the title at 120 pounds.
Other sectional qualifiers for the Streaks are Christian Delacruz, third at 126; Josiah Carter, second at 130; Nathan Maloy, third at 165; Nick Makwala, second at 190; and Larry Randolph, third at 285.
