Wednesday: Plate Wheel Throwing Wednesdays

We’re shaking up Wheel Throwing Wednesdays at Art Defined! This month, Kristal’s going to be teaching you how to make a plate, and we’ll be decorating it the same night. Play with our NEW Underglaze Decals from 6 to 8 p.m. April 3. Tickets are $45 per person, and can be purchased here!

 

Thursday: Thursday Night Jazz

Thursday nights are Jazz Nights at the Community Arts Center! Come hear the Knox Cherry Street Combo from 7 to 10 p.m. Thursdays. This is a free event and all ages are welcome. We have a full bar and you can order food from any of our fantastic local restaurants (some within walking distance) and have “Supper at the Center.” (No outside drinks allowed.)

We are located at 349 E. Main St. (the northwest corner of Main and Seminary Street. Look for the open sign.)

 

Friday: Spring Break Fun: Wizard Academy

Join us at Lakeside Recreation Facility from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday, April 5 to attend Wizard Academy! We will create our own wands, participate in potions class, learn some herbology, practice our spellcasting and dueling, and play our version of Quidditch! Feel free to dress up! Saturday: Galesburg Reads Kickoff: Survival Skills Fair

Kick off the 2024 Community Read with a Survival Skills Fair! Meet us at Standish Park in Galesburg from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 6 to gain survival skills. Stations will include shelter building, boat safety, wild animal facts and fur, weather spotting, fire building, edible and medicinal plants, and more! Free copies of the community read book, The Bear, will be distributed while supplies last. This event is free and open to the public of all ages!

 

Saturday: Adult Glow in the Dark Easter Egg Hunt

Hop on over to Hidden Hills for our 3rd annual Adult Easter Egg Hunt- But with a twist! This year, we’re going hunting in the dark! Join us on Saturday, April 6th to enjoy specialty drinks, slushies, Hidden Hills wine and local beer, music entertainment, prizes & of course…the EASTER EGG HUNT! Check In starts at 7 p.m., with the hunt at 8 p.m.and an after-party to follow until 10 p.m.

Cost is $20 per person to do the egg hunt, and you must register before the event in order to participate. Bring your own Basket & Flashlight! The Adult Easter egg hunt ticket will include:

  • 1 complimentary drink ticket
  • Egg hunt in the dark for 5 eggs (With new BIGGER prizes this year)
    • Egg prizes vary with candy, gifts, discounts, wine, event tickets and more!
