Scott D. Liescheidt, age 66, of Oak Run, Dahinda, Illinois, passed away on April 30, 2026, at his home.
He was born on May 31, 1959, in Pekin, Illinois, the son of David and Lela (Dew) Liescheidt. He graduated from East Peoria High School in 1977. He married Janice E. Martin on June 23, 1983, in Farmington, Illinois.
Surviving him is his wife, Janice, of Oak Run, Dahinda, Illinois; three children, Emily (Kenwaun Murray) Liescheidt of Hartland, Wisconsin, Jared Liescheidt of Pekin, Illinois, and Danny (Arianna Youngers) Liescheidt of Dahinda, Illinois; his siblings, Marty (Rebecca) Liescheidt of Washington, Illinois, Chris (Kathy Rodgers) of East Peoria, Illinois, and Susan Allmond of East Peoria, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Michael Liescheidt.
He worked for IDEAL Environmental in asbestos control. He enjoyed fishing, boating, travel, and collecting coins and currencies.
Scott will be remembered for his quiet strength, kind heart, and unwavering devotion to his family. He found joy in life’s simple moments — time on the water, sharing stories, traveling, and being surrounded by those he loved most. His presence brought comfort, laughter, and a sense of steadiness to everyone who knew him. Though he will be deeply missed, the memories he created and the love he gave will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
Memorial Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2026, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m., at Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes & Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois. Inurnment will be at Trenton Cemetery, rural Dahinda, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the Oak Run First Responders. A Celebration will be held at Big Catz, 221 E.
