10 years since ‘Bickerdyke Bridge’ was dedicated

Sunday, October 6 marks ten years since the "Seminary/Kellogg Street Overpass" was dedicated as the "Bickerdyke Bridge" -- named after Mary Ann "Mother" Bickerdyke.  The dedication happened thanks to a group of alumni of Galesburg Cottage Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association.

We talk about the story of Mother Bickerdyke, and why the nurses felt the dedication was warranted, with Cora Douglas on Galesburg's Morning News.
