On Nov. 19, local VFW Post 2257 received a sizable gift of $20,000 from the city of Galesburg.
Post commander Bob Horton, along with Terry Bruns, joined WGIL's Tyler Gumm and Jay Redfern to talk about the VFW, its mission, and how it serves veterans and the public.
VFW Post 2257 is located at 1001 Michigan Ave. in Galesburg. Some may remember it as the former Nellie Swanson School.
