
Galesburg, United and ROWVA/Williamsfield all brought home hardware from the IHSA Girls State Track and Field Championships on Saturday at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston.
In Class 2A, Galesburg’s 4×400 relay team of sophomore triplets Ella Herchenroder, Grace Herchenroder and Taylor Herchenroder, along with Lily Furrow claimed fifth place in the 4×400 relay with a time of 4:01.26. Eureka took first in 3:57.44.
Furrow claimed a ninth-place medal in the triple jump with a distance of 11.20 meters. The winning distance was 12.01Taya Rice of Chicago (Agriculture Science).

In Class 1A, United’s 4×200 relay team of Emrick Huston, Callie Hall, Rosie Flynn and Katie Flynn claimed a second-place medal with a time of 1:44.19. The same foursome took third in the 4×400 relay with a time of 4:00.17 and fifth in the 4×100 relay with a time of 49.98 seconds.

The ROWVA/Williamsfield 4×200 relay team of Lauren Johnson, Haven Manning, Brooke Stickle and Erin Welch took seventh with a time of 1:46.31.
