Galesburg High School captured the Western Big 6 Conference Scholastic Bowl championship on Saturday, Feb. 7 at Galesburg High School.
The Silver Streaks finished ahead of Quincy, Moline, Geneseo, United Township, and Sterling. Galesburg also completed an undefeated regular season.
“It’s been nice to see new players step up to achieve in place of a strong group of seniors that graduated last year,” said Galesburg coach Eric Spindler.
Spindler and Stu Schaafsma coach the team.
Team members include Addi Dulcie, Josephine Lovitt, Linus Leahy, Liam Dilley, Holden Stalides, Aron Waldon, Isaac Jones Rhoades, Lucia Crawford, and Elizabeth Martin.
Galesburg next competes at the Masonic Sectionals at Bartonville Limestone on Feb. 21, followed by IHSA Regionals in early March.
