Galesburg girls claim third place in Coles County Holiday Tournament

The Galesburg Silver Streaks girls basketball team claim third place in the Coles County Holiday Tournament after defeating the Sullivan Redskins, 50-43. The Streaks had a tough battle against Sullivan as they were matching each basket throughout the game. Senior Syriah Boyd was named the Dave's Auto Body Crunch-Time Player of the Game for her performance in the fourth quarter where she went 4 for 4 from the field. She finished with 16 points, 1 assist, 1 rebound, and 1 steal.

The Streaks will return to action after the New Year with a Thursday (1/4) matchup against Alleman. Tom Meredith and Erik Gibson will bring you the action starting with the pregame at 6:40 PM on 93.7 FM & 1400 AM WGIL, as well as streaming on wgil.com.
