Game on! First-ever competitive Scrabble tournament coming to Galesburg

It was described on a TV game show in the 1980's with the same name as "the crossword game you've played all your life -- but, never quite like this."

Scrabble continues to be one of the most popular board games in the world -- so much so that there are competitive tournaments.  That led people like Galesburg Mayor Peter Schwartzman -- who competes in such tournaments -- and Darla Krejci to want to hold one in Galesburg, bringing visitors to town and all-important hotel stays.

Schwartzman and Krejci talk about the "First Scrabble Tournament in Galesburg's History" coming up in September with Will Stevenson on Galesburg's Morning News.
