Illinois is one of the best states around to see a solar eclipse that is expected for Monday, April 8. While the Carbondale area and parts of Southern Illinois are the best place in the state to see the eclipse safely (assuming you have the right protective eyewear), Galesburg should have a pretty good view, too. Stewart Ferrell, Assistant Professor of Physics at Sandburg, talks about it with Will Stevenson on Galesburg's Morning News. Ferrell says we're pretty lucky to see an eclipse here twice in the last seven years.
