Steak Fry fundraiser the latest project for Galesburg Public Schools Foundation

Members of the Galesburg Public Schools Foundation joined Galesburg's Morning News to discuss their inaugural Steak Fry fundraiser, scheduled for Feb. 8 at The Vault.

Board President Kristi Mustain, board member and event emcee Zach Maher, and celebrity griller Steve Cheesman share insights about the foundation's mission, history, and past achievements, including raising funds for the Wicall Gym and Mustain Pool. They have donated more than $300,000 to District 205 since 2014.

The GPSF will use the fundraiser to support presentations by outside individuals/groups that were requested by building principals and approved by district administration, including:

-K-4: Kindness and Inclusion

-Lombard and GJSHS: Online and Social Media Safety

The Steak Fry is set for 5:30 to 9 p.m. Feb. 8 at The Vault, 185 S. Kellogg St. The event includes dinner, raffles, music and dancing. Tickets are $65 each and will enter you into a raffle to win $500.
