Special speaker for Sunrise Rotary Club Meeting

Galesburg Sunrise Rotary Club will have a very interesting speaker at our next meeting. John Ockenfels, of Iowa City, will present the program “Around the World Flight to End Polio” on Tuesday, January 21. Mr. Ockenfels is a regular attendee of the Stearman Fly-in and past District Governor of the Iowa City District of Rotary. He and another pilot plan to fly a single engine plane around the world this spring to raise money and awareness for the fight to end polio. Funds raised by the flight will be matched 2-for-1 by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
The meeting will start at 7:00am on Tuesday, January 21, in the Skylight Room of Seymour Union on the Knox College Campus. There is no cost for admission, but donations will be accepted to end polio. Breakfast is available at 6:45am for a cost of $8. The public and prospective members are welcome.
