Man accused in girlfriend’s death; body found at golf course

CHICAGO (AP) — The Cook County sheriff says authorities have arrested a man suspected of fatally stabbing his girlfriend and leaving her body at a golf course.

Sheriff Tom Dart says 44-year-old Johnathan Condrey faces a charge of first-degree murder. His bail was set at $1 million Saturday.

The sheriff’s office says authorities found the body of a 37-year-old woman believed to be Condrey’s girlfriend Thursday morning at the White Pines Golf Course in unincorporated DuPage County. Authorities say the woman was stabbed in her home after an argument and her body was driven to the golf course soon afterward.

The woman’s name has not been released because her relatives have yet to be notified.

Authorities arrested Condrey Friday.
