Lundeen, Scarlet Rain

Scarlet Rain Lundeen, 9 day-old daughter of Lorana (McNeely) and Matthew Lundeen made a peaceful transition in the loving arms of her parents Monday, May 27th at 7:37pm at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She entered the world like an unexpected storm on May 19th, 2019, placing both immense fear and joy in her parents’ hearts. Scarlet will be remembered for her incredibly long eyelashes, strong grip and tenacity. The world was so fortunate to have had Scarlet for nine days, she undoubtedly left it a better place and those who knew her, better people. Scarlet is survived by her parents; her grandparents, Barb and Jason Landers of Abingdon, Rod and (Danni) McNeely of Galesburg and Roger and Julie Lundeen of Galesburg; her great-grandparents, Bonnie and Ed Schenck Jr. of Abingdon, Peggy McNeely of Abingdon and Micheline Smock of Galesburg; her great-great-grandmother, Bernie Schenck of Galesburg; and aunts, uncles, including her special aunt Heather Fletcher, great-aunts, great-uncles and families. Cremation will be accorded and private services will be held.  Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Abingdon Chapel is assisting her parents with the arrangements.
