A former Aledo teacher’s trial for predatory criminal sexual assault of a child has again been delayed.
61-year-old Mark Artcher of Aledo appeared in Mercer County Court Tuesday morning with his attorney, Katherine Drummond.
It has the fifth time that Artcher’s pre-trial conference has been continued to a later date
The sexual abuse charges allege an “act of sexual conduct” with someone under the age of 13, and the sexual assault charges alleged some form of sexual penetration with a victim under 13.
Artcher’s been free on bond on a $10,000 bond since shortly after he was charged in April of 2019, although he is required to check in with court services twice a week.
Artcher will return to court on April 2.
