Galesburg Police are investigating a garage burglary that occurred sometime between Friday, August 26th and Tuesday, September 6th. A Galesburg man reported the burglary at the Public Safety Building last Tuesday. The garage is located in the 1500 block of East Fifth Street. The metal walk-through door of the garage was found to be pried open. Items taken include an LG washer and dryer valued at $4,000, a stick welder on a cart valued at $1,000, a variety of 12 tires valued at around $2,400, and three neon beer signs valued at $600. Officers are in the process of collecting area security footage from the area and the investigation is ongoing.
