The Galesburg Silver Streaks girls basketball team defeat the Sullivan Redskins, 55-30, in the Mattoon Holiday Tournament. Despite a slow start, the Streaks capitalized on the opportunities given to them by their opponents in the second half to win their first of two games on Tuesday (12/27). The Streaks are now 13-3 on the season.
The Dave’s AutoBody Crunch-Time Player of the Game was Kiarra Kilgore who scored her 1,000th career point as a member of the Streaks. She started out the game needing only 10 points to reach the milestone and ended up scoring 24 points. She also finished with 13 rebounds, 5 steals, 3 blocks, and 3 assists.
