West Central Illinois football teams will be represented by nine players at the Illinois High School Shrine Game.
The nine players on two separate teams will compete at the 49th annual event on June 17, 2023, at Illinois Wesleyan. The Red team features five area players, while four players will play for the Blue team.
Braden Downs of the Knoxville Blue Bullets was named to the Red team, which also includes Sam Morgan (Dunlap), Caleb Hollis (Elmwood/Brimfield), Ethan Ladd (Macomb) and Kaiden Droste (West Central).
The Blue team includes Maddox Crosier (Rushville-Industry), Matthew Senteney (Annawan/Wethersfield), Ty Anderson (Ridgewood) and Reese Finch (Rockridge).
