A Wataga woman is dead and two others are injured following a crash early Thursday evening.
The Knox County Sheriffs Department says an 82-year-old woman not yet being publicly identified was traveling east on U.S. 34 near Wataga around 5:30 p.m. when the 2017 Buick left the side of the road.
Officials say the woman was pronounced dead, while an 18-year-old woman from Wataga, and a 19-year-old man from Galesburg, were both taken to the hospital.
Their injuries are not known.
The Sheriff’s Department says it was the only vehicle involved. An investigation into the crash continues.
