Alberta L. Gerk, 73, of Galesburg, Illinois died 9:12 p.m. Monday, May 18, 2020, at her home. She was born March 1, 1947, in Salisbury, Missouri to Harold Alfred and Blanche Lee (Williams) Woolridge. She married Tony J. Gerk, Sr. in 1965 in Galesburg. He preceded her in death on January 6, 2011.
Surviving is a son T. J. Gerk, II of Galesburg, a daughter, Tonya L. Rose of Galesburg, a sister, Nina Woolridge of Galesburg, two grandchildren, Tiffany L. Rose and Whitney L. Rose, and many great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Ralph Woolridge, and a sister, Janie Lee Woolridge.
Alberta was a homemaker and enjoyed raising her two children. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Galesburg.
There will be a private family viewing at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Service Galesburg Chapel followed by a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 2020, at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg.
