She was born May 9, 1934, in Galesburg.  She was adopted and raised by Lloyd and Evelyn (Barboski) Crow.  She was married to Richard Marquis, Robert Garrison, and Dick Mayall.

She is survived by five children, Steven Marquis, Linda Marquis, Debra (Garrison) Franckey, Robert Garrison Jr., and Mark Garrison; seven grandchildren, Chad Marquis, Shaun (Katie) Combee, Christine Combee, Kris Brant (Sarah), Robert Brant, Sarah Franckey (Jake Schisler), and Laura (Nicholas) Winholt; ten great grandchildren, Jaycob, Dylan, Holden, Gaven, Emily, Alyssa, Shea, Zander, Anya, and Sonny; and six great-great grandchildren, Tanner, Adalyn, Hadley, Quincy, Evan, and Evyana.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Tony, Tom, Betty, and Jack; her three husbands; and her daughter-in-law, Dena Garrison.

In Joyce’s life, she enjoyed traveling with her family from coast to coast and sharing holidays with all of her children and grandchildren was always a highlight.  As a young girl she sang for a radio station.  She was a cheerleader, a great jitterbug dancer, a bowler, and a long-time member of the “Red Hat Ladies”.  She was a homemaker but later worked for Kimberly Terrace as office manager.

Her family and friends were very important to her, as well as the many fur babies she had in her lifetime.  We are grateful for her longevity of life.  She will be dearly missed by us all.

Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral and Cremation Services of Galesburg.  Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jordan Knight officiating.  Burial will be in East Linwood Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Knox County Humane Society.  Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.h-p-w.com.
