Time Capsule: Escaped convicts, gambling crackdowns, and the Chicago Bears — this week in Galesburg history

Knox College and Monmouth College both tried to get the Chicago Bears to move their training camp to their campuses. Both schools lost out as the Bears chose the University of Wisconsin at Platteville.
