Roy V. Smith Jr., age 84, died on Tuesday, April 22, 2025.
He was born on March 10, 1941. He married Norma J. Shepherdson on March 13, 1965, in Galva, Illinois. She preceded him in death on August 28, 2009.
Surviving are his children: Daniel Smith, Terry Armstrong, Bill Smith, Shari Przegienda and Kenneth Smith; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren; his siblings: Lavern Smith, Dee Dewitt-Smith, Carol Dixon and Carolyn Lawson.
He was an engineer with the BNSF Railroad.
Celebration of Life will be held from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at the Wataga Town Hall in Wataga, Illinois. Food will be provided. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s or to your local Humane Society.
