The Galesburg Police Department is investigating a theft that occurred at Walmart last Wednesday, December 14th. Police on Saturday afternoon responded to the retail store and met with employees after two male suspects stole numerous items. Employees said two black male suspects were going around the store placing items into a cart. When the two suspects went to leave, one of the men distracted the employee standing at the door checking receipts while the other pushed the cart out of the store without paying for the items. The two men stole over $750 worth of products which were mainly baby and toddler apparel items. Officers were given still images of the male suspects, but at the time of the police report, the two have not been identified yet. One of the men was wearing a white and red jacket with jeans, and the other was wearing a black jacket. The investigation is ongoing.
