The Illinois Emergency Management Agency is asking Knox County residents who experienced property damage from the April 17-18 storms and tornadoes — or ongoing flooding through April 30 — to report that damage through a voluntary online survey.
The information collected will be used by emergency management teams to evaluate the extent of damage and determine whether Knox County meets the threshold for possible federal assistance for affected property owners.
Knox County EMA Coordinator Randy Hovind is the local contact for the damage assessment effort.
The survey is voluntary. Completing it does not guarantee assistance, but the data helps officials make the case for federal aid if damage levels warrant it.
